Systemtray — order can be so simple

“You can only buy what you can see!” This simple insight is crucial for the sales success of products. One thing is clear: if products are at the back of the shelf, they are harder for shoppers to see and reach. Long searches or even straining to reach the desired item not only lead to frustration among shoppers, but ultimately also to abandoned purchases. This in turn has an impact on retailers’ sales figures. The result is dissatisfaction on all sides. And brand manufacturers are also literally “left in the dark” when their products are hidden in untidy shelf spaces in the farthest corner.

5 steps to the perfect product presentation

An additional perforation on the back and/or underside of the transport packaging for the POS‑T pushfeeds turns your standard tray into a POS‑T Systemtray. As a “one-time investment”, the shelves are to be equipped with the special POS product feed for “tray operation”.

What makes our system tray so special

Sometimes a small idea is enough to fundamentally change things. When POS TUNING’s founder created the prototype for the plywood system tray in 1998, he had a vision. He wanted to change the presentation of goods at the point of sale with simple means. With this idea, he laid the foundations for a revolution in retail. In the meantime, the system tray has established itself worldwide and well-known brands such as Maggi and Knorr rely on the invention from East Westphalia. And it offers so many advantages:

Save time and money
Customer-friendly removal and easy storage.

Hardly any effort
Simple installation with just a few components on each shelf.

FIFO — so fast and practical
First in, first out for optimal stock management.

Brand diversity
Positioning brands with more attention.

Different tray variants
The right system tray for every product.

POS‑T Systemtray

Problem solver for the shelf

There are various factors that lead to shelves appearing untidy and goods sometimes not being easily visible or accessible. One major problem is the ongoing staff shortage. There is a lack of staff. The few employees on the floor have to do more in less time. Changing planograms, putting away goods and resolving out-of-stock situations are real challenges for the team on the shop floor.

With the POS TUNING system tray, manual storage and pulling forward is a thing of the past. All system trays are initially normal standard cartons filled with goods. The highlight: there is a perforation on the underside of the cartons. This is released before insertion into the shelf and the resulting slot is placed on the pushfeeds, which were previously mounted on an adapter T‑rail in the shelf. This creates the perfect presentation solution in no time at all. The pushfeed system gently pushes the goods forwards and each time a product is removed, the products behind it slide forwards. There is no need to pull the products forward at all and filling with new products is quick and easy.

Save time and money: POS‑T Systemtray in the test

The POS‑T Systemtray is a real game changer. Thanks to its simple but ingenious design, products can be placed directly in the carton on the pushfeeds and can be positioned perfectly at the front of the shelf. This saves both time during storage and daily shelf maintenance. In a study conducted by Migros Zurich, the labor costs for shelf maintenance and replenishment were determined. Different types of activities were considered side by side. The result is impressive: if the system tray is used, 10% of the costs for these activities can be saved.

We have the answers to your questions!

What is the POS‑T Systemtray?

The system tray is a presentation solution that ensures that products can be presented and positioned neatly and visibly on the shelf.

Why does the system tray improve sales?

Because people only buy what they can see! The system tray automatically moves products to the front and makes them visible and ready to hand for customers at all times.

How does the system tray work?

All you need is a cardboard box. This must be perforated on the underside. If the perforation is removed, a slot is created. This slot makes it possible to plug onto a pushfeed system mounted on the shelf. This automatically pushes the products forward when an item is removed.

Does the system tray really save time and money?

Yes, studies show that up to 10 % of the costs for shelf maintenance and replenishment can be saved.

Is the system tray difficult to install?

No, it is simply placed on an adapter T‑rail on the shelf. Handling is quick and uncomplicated.

Does the system tray support the FIFO principle?

Yes, older products are automatically sold first thanks to the pushfeeds. This means that no goods are left at the back of the shelf.

Can I customize the system tray?

Yes, it offers many possibilities for branding and product information, e.g. through label holders or printed fronts.

Which products is the system tray suitable for?

It is primarily used for products in bag form. However, the system tray can also be used to present other products that are easily tipped over. There are different tray variants for different product types.

What variants of the system tray are available?

Every product is different and requires individual solutions. The POS‑T Systemtray is available in three versions and offers optimum usability for different requirements. There is the L‑TRAY (for universal use), the flat tray with opening (for flat pushfeed) and the closed flat tray (for lateral pushfeed).
